Summary of Experience

Dr. Ohanian is Huntington Memorial Hospital’s Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center and the Cerebral Blood Flow Laboratory; and Residency Coordinator for the hospital’s Neurology Service. He is also a clinical instructor at the University of Southern California Neurology Department and the University of California, Los Angeles, Neurology Department. He is in private practice at Southern California Neurology Consultants located next-door to Huntington Hospital.

Dr. Ohanian supervised the creation of Huntington Hospital’s stroke center in 2009. In 2010, the hospital was named to the Target Stroke Honor Roll by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The hospital was also awarded Gold Plus status in the Get With The Guidelines SM–Stroke program. The hospital was named the first hospital in California to the Target Stroke Honor Roll, and was one of eleven initial hospitals nationwide named to the AHA Honor Roll.

On a Personal Note

Dr. Ohanian is married with four children.  He enjoys volunteering in the community, including civic work, voter registration, coaching children’s basketball and soccer. He was a co-producer of a Globalist Films documentary about an NFL football player  “Long Journey from the NFL to Armenia“.
